Where it all began
Whether I was happy, stressed, exhausted or heartbroken — I'd reach for my brushes and something would shift. Makeup genuinely changed my mood. It was my therapy, my reset button, my constant. I used to laugh about it with my friends: "Honestly, makeup is my buddy." I had no idea I'd just named my brand.
I studied fashion business there — and Florence is not a city that lets you be lazy about beauty. It's everywhere: in the architecture, the art, the way people carry themselves down the street.
Living there sharpened something in me. I learned to really look. To understand proportion and detail. To appreciate that great aesthetics are never an accident. That time in Italy is still inside everything I do today.
When I came home, my mind was made up: makeup wasn't going to be a hobby. It was going to be a career.
After a decade behind the brush, I had tested more products than I care to count. I knew exactly what I was looking for — that skin-like finish, that real staying power, that look that photographs beautifully at noon and still feels intentional at midnight. Nobody was making it. Not quite. There was always a compromise I wasn't willing to accept.
That was over 10 years ago. Since then, I've worked with brides on the most important day of their lives, coached women who simply wanted to feel more confident in their everyday look, and trained aspiring makeup artists who now have thriving careers of their own.
Here's the part I never take for granted: people have flown in from New Zealand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Singapore just to sit in my chair or learn from me in person. They booked flights. They showed up. That kind of trust is not something I take lightly — and it's exactly why I never stop learning, refining, and raising my own standard.
Make Up Is My Buddy isn't a product line designed in a boardroom. It's built by someone who has held the brush, read the light, and been trusted with a bride's face at 6am. Every formula exists because I needed it to. Every product has earned its place.
